Laparlière's sense of space, and especially her comfort in working without boundaries,
allows her not only a sense of satisfaction, but also of confidence in the realization of
breathtaking and encompassing sceneries of infinite proportion murals. For several years
she has created extraordinary rooms with large murals, trompe l'oeil and faux effects, and
decorative painting that transport the viewer to Venice's Grand Canal, the Caribbean
Islands, an African safari, Provence, or "18th century skies" filled with cherubs.
